Maulana Muhammad Mustapha Raza Khan al-Qaderi
(rahmatullahi alaih). Huzoor Mufti-e-Azam
Hind (rahmatullahi alaih) declared him
his Ja’Nasheen (Successor) while this
great Shaykh was present in this world.
Taajush Shari’ah inherited the skill in
the issuing of Fatawa (Legal Islamic
Rulings) and in tackling the complex
issues relating to Fiqh (Islamic
Jurisprudence) directly from Huzoor
Mufti-e-Azam (rahmatullahi alaih) who
inherited it directly from Mujaddid-e-Deen-o-Millat, Ash Shah Imam
Ahmed Raza Khan al-Qaderi (rahmatullahi alaih).
He is not only the Successor and a
trustworthy custodian of Fatawa writing
of Mufti-e-Azam Hind (rahmatullahi alaih),
but also the custodian of learning,
knowledge, sanctity and saintliness, of
his grandfather, Hujjatul Islam, Moulana
Muhammad Haamid Raza Khan al-Qaderi (rahmatullahi alaih).
His father, Moulana Muhammad Ibrahim
Raza Khan Jilani Mia (rahmatullahi alaih),
was a great Aalim and Saint. He was
well-versed in the commentary of the
Holy Qur’an and so was given the title
of Mufassir-e-Azam-e-Hind or Great
Commentator of the Holy Qur’an in India.
Taajush Shariah, Mufti Akhtar Raza Khan
Azhari, travels extensively propagating
the Deen and is a world-renowned
preacher and a spiritual guide. He is
constantly invited throughout the world

him throughout India and to Pakistan,
South Africa, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Holland,
U.K., U.S.A., Dubai, Iraq, Tanzania, and
many other countries. Now, due to his
ill-health, his travels are limited.
Alhamdulillah, Huzoor Taajush Shari’ah
has also been blessed with many Ziarahs
of Madinatul Munawwarah and Hajj’s and
Umrah’s.
Besides him hailing from the family of
A’la Hazrat Imam Ahmed Raza (rahmatullahi alaih)
and being a great Scholar and
Mufti, many sincere devotees throng
around Huzoor Taajush Shari’ah just
waiting to get a glimpse of his blessed
face which is always shining with Light
(Noor)! Or even to touch him to gain
blessings!
Thousands of Muslims in India and in
many parts of the world are attached
with his Silsila. Taajush Shari’ah also
has many Khulafa.
Besides being a great Mufti and Aalim,
he is also a poet and an academic
writer. His Diwan (Collection of Poems)
was published for the first time
entitled Naghmat-e-Akhtar. Later, it was
published entitled Safina-e-Bakhshish in
1986, a chrono-grammical name, derived
by Dr. Abdun Naim Azizi.
Safina-e-Bakhshish includes Hadrat’s
Urdu and Arabic poems and was compiled
and published by Dr. Abdun Naim Azizi.
Many of his Naats and Manqabats have
not been published as yet. Many of his
Naats are read and have become famous.
Each one is drowned in the Love of
Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (Sallal Laahu
Alayhi Wasallam).
Amongst his academic works, a few are as
follows:

His Darul-Ifta is now the central Darul
Ifta of not only Bareilly Shareef, but
of the Sunni world and he has continued
the prestige of Fatawa writing of his
grand-father and great grand-father. To
date, he has written more than 5000 Fatawa. He was also given the title of
Taajush Shari'ah (Crown of Shari’ah) by
prominent Ulama.
Hazrat also teaches Bukhari
Shareef and other Kitaabs to students
and is busy with the translation work of
major Kitaabs of A’la Hazrat (rahmatullahi alaih). When he is not busy with this
he is busy meeting with his Mureeds, he
is seen with many of the Ulama and
Mufti-e-Ikraam sitting at his feet,
seeking his company, his advice and
sorting out intricate problems.
Taajush Shariah has also been
appointed as the Qaazi-ul-Quz’zat or
“Muslim Chief Justice” for the entire
country of India. This announcement was
made by Muhaddith-e-Kabeer, Hadrat
Allama Mufti Zia-ul-Mustafa Qadri Amjadi.
This glorious event took place during
the ‘Urs-e-Razvi in October 2006 in the
presence of many Ulama, prominent
Islamic Scholars and thousands of
people.
For the benefit of mankind and Islamic
followers and its flourishing, the
education and schooling of the new
generation is the basic need of the
hour. This noble object has always drawn
the attention of Huzoor Mufti-e-A’zam
Hind (rahmatullahi alaih) and after him, Huzoor Taajush Shari’ah, Hazrat Allama
Mohammed Akhtar Raza Khan Azhari to
establish the grand religious
institution that could be conductive to
profound learning and through the
correct understanding of Holy Qura’n and
Sunnah, so as to discover the hidden
part of Islamic ideology to suit the
present situations of scientific and
technical era.
Huzoor Taajush Shari’ah felt a strong
urge to lay down an effective system of
education for the Sunni Muslims, which
may infuse our learners as well as
essential modern branches of knowledge.
Hence, keeping in view the above, the
Centre of Islamic Studies "Jamiatur Raza"
was initiated on the 29th of May 2000.
This Islamic University which was
founded by Huzoor Taajush Shari’ah is
ever-expanding and is seen toady as one
of India’s most prestigious educational
centre.
Besides being well-versed in Arabic,
Persian, and Urdu he has also a good
knowledge of English. He has written
many Fatawa in the English Language. The
original book, Few English Fatawa, was
first published by Edara Sunni Duniya,
82 Saudagran, Bareilly Shareef by
Taajush Shariah.
Allama Mufti Naseem Ashraf Habibi, of
Habibi Darul Ifta, included a few more
unpublished Fatawas, which was also
written or orally dictated in English by
Huzoor Taajush Shari’ah. He named this
new and updated edition as Azharul
Fatawa. Thus, Azharul Fatawa was
published in South Africa in November
1998. It was distributed throughout the
world. Azharul Fatawa Part II was later
published followed by Azharul Fatawa
Part III and then finally a combined
edition.
May Allah azza wajal keep Taajush Shari’ah,
Hazrat Allama Mufti Mohammad Akhtar Raza
Khan Azhari firm on Maslak-e-A’la Hazrat
and serve as a beacon of guidance. May
He grant his Eminence good health and
long life. Aameen. |
